QR Provides Retail Automation Solution to AEON Hong Kong
The Board of Directors of Silverlake Axis Ltd (“SAL” or “the Group”) is pleased to announce that QR Retail Automation (Asia) Sdn. Bhd. (“QR”), the retail automation wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, will be implementing its PROFIT Retail Automation Solution for AEON Hong Kong. This solution is currently used by large and varied retailer groups in Asia and internationally.
AEON’s partnership with QR started in 2003 when PROFIT was first implemented in Malaysia. Today, PROFIT is also used in AEON stores in Cambodia, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Hong Kong will be the 6th country location in the AEON Group to utilize this automation platform when it is rolled out in 2018.
PROFIT offers end to end solution to the retail industry enabling retailers to significantly increase efficiency, improve customer service and enhance effective delivery of digital innovations. The new version of the solution includes capabilities for data analytics, and customers will be offered a choice of on-premise as well as cloud-based solutions.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to the results of SAL in the current and following financial years. Pursuant to the confidentiality clause stipulated in the contract, no further details of the contract will be disclosed.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of SAL has any interest, directly or indirectly, in the above contract other than through their respective shareholdings in SAL.
